Last month, my dad was in Chicago for a work conference. We decided to head over to spend some time with him!
We left early Saturday morning and did a session in the Chicago temple.
After our session, we went to downtown and met up with my Dad, who's flight got in about the same time we finished at the temple. We had a delicious lunch at Lou Malnati's.
Then we walked to the Chicago River. We did a boat tour with was so much fun! We were able to learn about some of the history of Chicago and about a lot of the buildings. The tour also went out on Lake Michigan so we could get a great view of the Chicago skyline.
After our tour, we walked down Michigan Avenue and headed to Ghiradelli. We had a brownie sundae which was amazing!
On Sunday, we went to church with our friends, the Pimentels, who had just recently moved away from Dodgeville. It was fun seeing them and catching up!
After church, my dad, Matt and I went to the Navy Pier and walked around. It was beautiful weather, so we were able to spend some time at the end of the pier, enjoying the beautiful view and talking.
We had to leave soon after, but it was a great weekend! I loved being able to spend time with my Dad and Matt! We love having visitors in the Midwest. :)
