Mother's Day

Though I am not yet a mother, Matt still treated me well this past Mother's day weekend.  On Saturday, we drove to Dubuque, Iowa and had a picnic at a park by the Mississippi River.  We had tasty chicken salad sandwiches, chips, strawberries and cream soda.  It was a delicious lunch!  After that, I opened some cute presents Matt got for me, then we went shopping in Dubuque.  It was a nice and relaxing day!

I wish this picture wasn't so fuzzy!

On Sunday after church, we were able to join in on a Google+ Hangout with my family and brother Cameron, who is in Brazil right now serving a mission.  It was great to talk to him and hear about Brazil so far!

I have been blessed with a great husband and wonderful family.  I'm grateful for a mother who has raised us with so much love, care and patience.  I'm glad she is my friend and that we get along so well. I sure wish we lived closer, but am so glad we can keep in touch through technology and occasional visits!
